Jason Sudeikis’ Mail Leads NYC Woman to “Ted Lasso” Premiere Meeting
A surprising piece of mail turned into an unexpected Hollywood connection for a New York City resident. Mental health counselor and content creator Taylor Palmby discovered that her Manhattan apartment once belonged to actor Jason Sudeikis after she started receiving his letters and industry-related deliveries.
The unusual discovery eventually led to a face-to-face meeting with the “Ted Lasso” star at the show’s Season 4 premiere.
Palmby moved into her Manhattan apartment in May 2025 and began receiving mail addressed to Sudeikis about a month later. At first, the deliveries seemed like a simple mix-up, but the contents made her curious.
The letters included professional correspondence from organizations such as the Writers Guild of America, the Producers Guild of America, and “For Your Consideration” awards screeners connected to the entertainment industry.

“I was like, ‘No way. There’s no way this is the same Jason Sudeikis. There’s no way,’” Palmby told People.
After searching online, she found information linking Sudeikis to the same address and realized she had been living in his former apartment.
The mail continued arriving for nearly a year, with around five pieces reaching her home. Instead of ignoring the deliveries, Palmby decided to find a way to return them to their original owner.
Social Media Helped Connect the Dots
Palmby shared the unusual situation online, hoping someone could help connect her with Sudeikis. Her posts gained attention as viewers shared possible connections to the actor, creating a chain of introductions similar to the idea behind “six degrees of separation.”
She received messages from people claiming they knew Sudeikis’ relatives, friends, or professional contacts. The growing attention eventually reached the actor’s public relations team.
The team invited Palmby to attend the New York City premiere of “Ted Lasso” Season 4, where she finally handed over the long-awaited mail.
“He was really sweet,” Palmby said. “And he was like, ‘I didn’t even recognize the apartment.’”
The meeting turned a simple address mistake into a memorable encounter between a fan and one of television’s most recognizable comedy stars.
Jason Sudeikis’ Return for Season 4

Instagram | theagencygrouppr | Sudeikis almost ended “Ted Lasso” after Season 3 for narrative reasons rather than financial leverage.
The meeting happened as Sudeikis prepared for the return of “Ted Lasso,” a series that became a major success for Apple TV+.
Sudeikis previously shared that he almost decided not to return for a fourth season because he felt Ted Lasso’s original story had reached a natural ending. Reports stated that he earned about $1 million per episode during Season 3.
“That wasn’t a negotiation tactic,” Sudeikis told The Hollywood Reporter.
“The story was told. Ted went home to be with his son. I wasn’t going to have Ted uproot their life to justify the money truck. It made no sense to me,” he explained.
Taylor Palmby’s experience shows how an ordinary event can lead to an unexpected story. A few misplaced letters connected a New Yorker with Jason Sudeikis, leading to a rare personal meeting and a memorable moment tied to the world of “Ted Lasso.”
The story of Jason Sudeikis’ former apartment highlights how everyday situations can sometimes create surprising connections. What began as repeated mail deliveries became a unique Hollywood encounter, giving Palmby a story that reached far beyond a simple address mistake.
