Many studies have shown that mosquitoes hate the aroma of certain plants, mainly ones that produce strong scents. These include cooking herbs, such as basil, lemon balm, rosemary, mint, and many more.
If there is a small garden in your backyard, try to put some of those plants in it. We can guarantee that as long as those herbages are well-maintained, the mosquito population will definitely decrease, bit by bit. Also, you can harvest them whenever you need some cooking ingredients!
Try the Fragrances
As we mentioned earlier, mosquitoes are afraid of strong scents. So, if you are living in a place that doesn’t have room garden plants, utilizing aromatherapy candles and essential oils can be a great second option.
Also, it’s far simpler to apply the candles and oils rather than maintaining the plants. You only need to burn the candle’s incense to get rid of the insects. For oils, just spray them on your body every few hours, and our annoying little friends will definitely avoid you.
